Our Pastor
Rev. Daniel J.Fahs and Jill Fahs
Rev. Daniel J. Fahs and his wife Jill came to us from the Wood Dale United Methodist church near Chicago, where Dan had served since his graduation from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in 2005. He also served two churches while in school. Before answering the call to ministry and going to seminary, Dan and Jill lived in River Falls, Wisconsin and Dan was the Executive Director of two assisted living facilities in Minneapolis, one of them Walker-Methodist.
In addition to a Masters of Divinity degree, Dan has a Masters in Health Service Administration.
Pastor Dan is passionate about seeing lives transformed in response to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. He feels strongly that a church fails to be The Church if it is not in mission – putting hands and feet to the gospel, by aiding the homeless, those imprisoned, and those in need. He had found life and joy in working with the small Mississippi town of Pearlington as the churches and community recover from Hurricane Katrina. He has provided leadership in taking United Methodism’s brand of Jesus’ ministry to southern Mississippi and New Orleans where he and others have worked to rebuild from the damage caused by Katrina, while also building relationships with the church and community.
Dan and Jill are both surprised and delighted to return to Wisconsin. They are convinced that Hayward is where God has led them. Dan and Jill have four adult children, a grandson and granddaughter. Dan enjoys long-distance bicycling, running and playing the guitar. Jill enjoys reading, any type of gardening, hiking and painting.
